General Notes
General Notes for the Andariel's Barrage Rogue Build in Season 5
Note: This build has not yet been optimized and adapted for the upcoming season.
The Andariel's Rogue is currently one of the best builds in Diablo 4. It is based mainly on two mechanics: The Unique Helm Andariel's Visage, which generates Poison Novas, allows you to deal poison damage into the billions (!), and the core skill Barrage, which triggers these Poison Novas thanks to a high lucky hit chance and attack speed.
Your remaining skills support you in battle by further increasing your damage and making you more mobile. As Poison Novas cause area damage, even large groups of monsters are no problem for you.
How well does this build perform in the Pit / Infernal Horde?
For the pit and arena, this endgame build is S-Tier. It is ideal for speed farming and it is also possible to push into hight pit level (130+) without problems..
How well does this build perform against bosses?
This build is also very strong against bosses. It deals a lot of damage against them as soon as you have them staggered. You can achieve this by inflicting a lot of crowd control effects on them.
When is the build playable and which items do I need?
Once you have reached level 50 and found the Mythic Unique Andariel's Visage, you can start playing this build successfully.
Playstyle
Playstyle with the Andariel's Barrage Rogue Build
Playstyle and skill rotation against monsters
As always, use Dash for general mobility in combat. It is also helpful for keeping your key passive skill Close Quarters Combat active, as you need to deal both Marksman and Cutthroat damage (alternatively, you can also use Shadow Step).
Against elite groups, you should first use Death Trap to gain the damage buff from your legendary paragon node No Witnesses legendary node and then consume a healing potion for the Unstable Elixirs passive skill buff. Both last exactly 10 seconds, so you can always use them at the same time to maintain the buffs.
After that, you only need to use Barrage in the direction of your enemies and wait for them to die from the poison damage. When a monster's poison bar is full, you should start shooting at other targets.
Hitting enemies with Smoke Grenades increases your damage even more. Especially with the unique dagger Umbracrux, you should regularly use Smoke Grenades to place the Shade Totem. In this case, you then should primarily shoot at the totem, which will bounce off your shots.
You should always save Shadow Step for when you are stunned to become unstoppable and save yourself.
Playstyle and skill rotation against bosses
The skill rotation against bosses is identical to that against monsters. The totem from the unique dagger Umbracrux, which is triggered with Smoke Grenade, plays a particularly important role against bosses to maximize your damage.
You deal your main damage against bosses when they are staggered, so if you're not yet carrying Fists of Fate you should use all possible crowd control effects on them: stun with healing potions and use Shadow Step + Smoke Grenades.

- Dark Shroud is triggered by the Umbrous Aspect.
- One skill point in Barrage and Poison Nova is enough, as your main damage is triggered by the Poison Novas.
- Death Trap is primarily used to get the damage buff from the legendary paragon node No Witnesses. Shadow Clone cannot trigger Poison Novas and is therefore useless in this build.
- If you have not found Umbracrux yet, you should put 2 more points in Innervation. You can take the 2 points required for this from Debilitating Toxins. Otherwise, you will have energy problems.

General tips about your Gear
- Armor: You need a maximum of 1,000 armor. Anything above that is useless and has no effect. If you haven't reached your armor cap yet, adjust your equipment, gems and paragon talents accordingly.
- Resistances: You need at least 70% to all resistances. If you have not yet reached these values, adjust your equipment, gems and paragon talents accordingly.
