Stormfeather Spiritborn Endgame Build for Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred

General Notes
General Notes for the Stormfeather Spiritborn Build in Vessel of Hatred
Note: This endgame build has been optimized for Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred (Season 6).
Probably the fastest build ever in Diablo 4. Zero seconds Evade cooldown make it possible. You'll be jumping across your screen so fast that you'll get dizzy, mowing down hordes of monsters along the way. This build is great for leveling and also in the endgame up to Torment level 3, but it reaches its limits in Torment 4. At this point, you should switch to one of my endgame Spiritborn builds (e.g. Quill Volley).
Whether this build or the 0 seconds Evade mechanic will remain in Diablo 4 for a long time β because it does seem a bit "broken" β is uncertain. But the developers did say that the Spiritborn class won't get any nerfs throughout the 6th Season, so there is hope for at least the next three months!
When is the build playable and which items do I need?
You can play this build from level 15 to level up, once you have completed your class quest. Check out my Quill Volley level build for a more detailed guide about the leveling phase.
The endgame variant only works with the Unique Quarterstaff Sepazontec, which allows you to permanently Evade as long as you have the Accelerated Thunderspike skill.
You should pick up all Obols while leveling, then go to the Purveyors of Curiosities NPC in Torment 1 and buy Staffs. Before that, you should redistribute your Ashes to get a bonus chance for items from the Purveyors of Curiosities as a Seasonal Blessing. This method will get you the Quarterstaff very quickly. The weapon's affixes are irrelevant for this build; only its item power is important for the weapon damage.
Playstyle
Playstyle for the Stormfeather Spiritborn Endgame Build
- If you deal enough damage, you don't need to use anything other than Evade β and you need to do so as quickly as possible! Players with a mouse that has a scroll wheel have an advantage here. This is because Evade can be mapped to the βScroll Mouse Wheelβ function and thus get triggered much more ofter and faster. It can be triggered so quickly that even Torment level 4 can be farmed with ease. Controller players are at a clear disadvantage here.
- You can also increase your damage by using your Hunter Ultimate Skill as often as possible.
- Once you've reached Torment 2-3 and have all the items and Aspects mentioned in this guide, you should be using a Gorilla skill every ten seconds to boost your life. It's best to use Armored Hide, but if it's on cooldown, switch to Rocksplitter β a single hit every ten seconds is enough.
- Armored Hide also makes you Unstoppable and increases your Resolve, which increases your blocking chance with the Aspect of Interdiction and then your critical hit damage with the Aspect of Redirected Force.
- As soon as you have the required Runewords together, you should also use Scourge against elite enemies to increase your damage. The Cry Rune triggers Vortex, so that enemies are pulled together and cannot run away.
Skills

Note: Level up all your active skills first and work your way down to your Key Passive as quickly as possible. If you are missing skill points to progress on your way through the skill tree, you can invest them in some passive skills. As soon as you have leveled up all active abilities and your Key Passive Ability, continue with the missing passive skills.
