Thunderspike Spiritborn Endgame Build for Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred

General Notes
General Notes for the Thunderspike Spiritborn Build in Vessel of Hatred
Note: This endgame build has been optimized for Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred (Season 6).
Thunderspike is a basic skill of the Spiritborn class, which causes a piercing blow in front of you. Its third attack has a larger radius and hits even more enemies. With the unique quarterstaff Sepazontec, Thunderspike's third attack is performed with every single hit, without you having to charge it up first. In addition, the weapon generates additional projectiles with every third attack.
This endgame build also utilizes an extremely high armor rating to maximize weapon damage with the Aspect of Unyielding Hits.
As a basic attack, Thunderspike costs no Resources and is very pleasant to play. You only have to use very few abilities. It is also able to farm Torment levels 3 and 4 completely without Mythic Uniques.
How well does this build perform in the Pit / Infernal Horde?
With well optimized items, high Pits are not a problem, as the build deals a lot of damage and is also very mobile. All enemies that get pulled in by Thunderspike get knocked down immediately, making this build very robust as long as monsters die quickly. In very high Pits, the Barrier of the Spirit Hall provides sufficient protection.
How well does this build perform against bosses?
If you are directly in front of the bosses, they will be hit by all three Thunderspike projectiles and die relatively quickly. However, the boss damage is not as high as with my Quill Volley endgame build.
When is the build playable and which items do I need?
This endgame variant is only playable with the unique quarterstaff Sepazontec. The unique helmet Harmony of Ebeweka is also an important part of the build, which allows a lot of bonus damage. Check out my unique drop table to see where you can quickly farm these uniques.
Playstyle
Playstyle for the Thunderspike Spiritborn Endgame Build
Playstyle and skill rotation against monsters
Use Soar to move around and make enemies vulnerable. As soon as you see enemies, use Thunderspike to pull them towards you. Pulled enemies get knocked down and take additional damage. It is therefore essential that you pull every group of elite enemies towards you instead of running into them.
Use your ultimate skill The Hunter as often as possible, as its cooldown is refreshed regularly when you kill enemies. Hunter renews your most recently used cooldown. When farming, it makes the most sense to renew your Soar to move faster. In high Pits, you should renew Armored Hide or Scourge.
Armored Hide gives you unstoppable and damage reduction through stacks of Resolve. Scourge increases your damage against crowd controlled enemies.
To maintain the buff from your Adaptive Stances Key Passive, which greatly increases your agility, you should use any non-eagle skill every five seconds. If everything is on cooldown, you can also use Counterattack for this purpose.
Playstyle and skill rotation against bosses
The skill rotation is similar against bosses, with only one difference: since you are not killing monsters, Hunter is not permanently active. Since the skill gives you a high damage bonus against injured enemies, you should only use it when the boss has only 35% of its health remaining.
You should also use your skills at regular intervals against bosses to maintain the buff of your Key Passive.
